Kompis, a Norwegian restaurant chain with 13 locations, rewards its most loyal customers with the most rewarding title of Friend. It’s in the name – Kompis translates to “buddy” or “friend” in English!

Loyal Friends Appreciated with Kompis Rewards Program
When joining the Kompis rewards program, users receive a sign-up reward of 20% on a burger of their choice as well as 250 points. This first tier is called “Kompis” which means friend in English.
Points are endearingly referred to as “kompispoeng” or “buddy points” and are earned through online or in-store purchases (1 point per 1 Norwegian krone spent).
Friends can also earn points for activities. For example, for referring a new person to the program, 250 points can be earned. More points can be earned for completing surveys, playing games, and on special double or triple-point days.
When a Friend earns 10,000 points, they become a “Bestekompis” or “Best Friend” in Tier 2. They are rewarded with 20% off a burger of their choice. Bestekompises receive 10% off the burger of the month and additional special rewards.
Kompis rewards points in either tier expire after 90 days.
Kompis Rewards Bonus Points for Engagement
In addition to point-based rewards, Friends and Best Friends earn a 20% off birthday Kompis rewards. Students with ID can receive 15% off food purchases and soon mall employees in the same location will receive 15% off with ID.
The Kompis rewards app also offers digital stamp cards for burgers, pizzas, and milkshakes. After the 10th purchase of each of those items, Friends receive a free item.
The Kompis app includes games that engage customers and provide an opportunity to earn even more rewards! Additionally, the Kompis app allows friends to book tables, refer a friend, and conveniently find locations within the app.
