Swiss convenience giant avec debuts “avec bonus” loyalty app to engage and reward customers
Switzerland’s avec convenience stores are leaders in European technological innovation at highly frequented locations such as train and service stations. The diverse convenience formats offers fresh products for immediate consumption, open early and closing late and in some cases, around-the-clock.
Earlier this year in April 2022, avec made headlines once again adding to its tech portfolio debuting a new “avec bonus” loyalty app to reward customers, designed and powered by the innovative Valora Digital team and driven by Felicitas Suter, Head Loyalty and Payment at Valora.
Part of the Valora Group family of retailers, avec has 180 stores throughout Switzerland and Germany.

In late 2021, avec soft-launched the avec bonus loyalty program to high street stores. The “avec bonus” program offers customers the opportunity to earn points, stamps and coupons as well as play games and claim rewards from the avec app reward shop. This app is now available to all avec customers.

“avec bonus” members earn one point per 1 CHF (Swiss Franc) spent and points are valid for 2 full years. Using the power of the Liquid Barcodes loyalty marketing platform, avec is focusing on key products such as their exclusive Ok,- energy drinks. Customers earn one stamp for every one they buy, and then enjoy one drink free for every six purchased. Coupons are also offered in partnership with suppliers which members use by simply scanning their phone. The app includes a selection of games so avec customers can play to win. Once they earn points, members can simply claim their rewards in the app reward shop.
