Liquid Barcodes team attends industry event in Miami and hosts retailers to demo fuel pay solution
Last week, Saurabh Swarup, GM of North America and Bob Stein, Board Chairman attended the NACS Leadership Forum in Miami, Florida. Additionally, prior to the conference, Liquid hosted several retailers at a Sunshine Gas location with owner Eddy Alvarez to demo the C-StorePay solution that provides ACH debit payments for customers that reduces retailer’s credit card fees.
The theme of this year’s premier industry leadership event was “Be the Disruptor: How to Lead in an Age of Disruption.”
Fittingly, Liquid Barcodes knows a thing or two about disrupting the loyalty technology industry in this channel.
In late 2022, Liquid Barcodes introduced C-StorePay, the revolutionary fuel pay program that allows customers to pay for fuel with an app featuring the fewest number of steps on the market. In addition to the convenient and fast transaction process of C-StorePay, the app can be used with ACH debit saving retailers thousands of dollars on credit card fees. This groundbreaking technology has sent shockwaves through the convenience and foodservice industries and got the immediate attention of convenience industry publications, POS solution providers, and industry associations.
Sunshine Gasoline Demonstration for App-based Fuel Pay and Subscription Programs
Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, an early adopter of C-StorePay, was excited to host more than a dozen retailers at one of their Miami locations to demonstrate the new Sunshine app, powered by Liquid Barcodes. Led by Sunshine owner Eddy Alverez, retailers witnessed the app in action and learned that Alverez chose only to accept ACH transactions for payment. This decision will save Sunshine millions of dollars in credit card processing fees over the next several years.
Retail attendees were impressed. Overheard were comments such as “Twenty seconds for connecting bank account versus two days is a significant improvement” and “now, that is what I call frictionless.” Another attendee commented, “I did not know you could cross-sell within the same transaction!”
Sunshine has been a loyal Liquid Barcodes customer for several years having deployed a subscription car wash program at many of their Florida locations. Customers can purchase and redeem monthly car wash subscriptions in the app.
In addition to retailers, Swarup and Stein were joined by Linda Toth, Managing Director of Conexxus, the convenience industry’s technology standards association.

The Liquid Barcodes team will be attending several convenience industry conferences in 2023 including the NAG (National Advisory Group) Conference in Austin (March 26-29), the NACS State of the Industry Summit in Dallas (April 18-20), and the NACS Convenience Summit Europe in Dublin (May 3-June 1).
